Birmingham School of Jewellery 2010 Summer Course Programme
Last month saw the launch of the much anticipated summer course programme. The six week
programme beginning on 28th June has over thirty courses from one to five days in duration to
choose from.

Charms for Charity Event 2010
The Metal Clay community at large* will again officially sponsor the Charms for Charity Fundraising Event. Metal Clay artists within our own community will create handcrafted charms for bracelets and necklaces, which will be raffled to raise money for cancer treatment and prevention. Members of the Metal Clay community will donate every aspect of this project, from making charms and bracelets to designing and selling raffle tickets, so this is your call to get involved. The last Charms for Charity Event in 2008 raised $12270.
*This fundraiser is not affiliated with any organization or guild, just individual artisans with a huge heart.

Hogan and Sons
Hogan & Sons are a bronze foundry based in Sheffield UK and are a supplier of fine bronze castings. They can cast 1 off or 100s off with three types of casting method; greensand casting, air set casting and lost wax casting. The size of casting can be as small as grams or up to 150kg. Their metal is melted in a Raydine Induction funace. The metal used will be at the customers request or they can advise what metal and casting method would best suit the part to be cast.
